Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum became a member of Financing Growth & Infrastructure Taskforce Group with joint membership of Responsible Business Conduct & Anti-Corruption Cross-Thematic Group of B20 Germany.
For policy recommendation and contribution, as the only non-corporate and female task force member from South Korea, she participated in the 1st meeting of Responsible Business Conduct & Anti-Corruption Cross-Thematic Group in Basel, Switzerland on October 21, 2016, the 6th High-Level Anti-Corruption Conference for G20 Government, Business, and Civil Society & the B20 Conference on Responsible Business Conduct and Anti-Corruption on January 26-27, 2017 in Berlin, Germany, B20 Joint Task Force Meeting on March 22, 2017 at OECD Headquarter in Paris, France, and the 2017 B20 Summit on May 2-3, 2017 in Berlin, Germany.
She succeeded to include two South Korean cases as good practices into the policy paper of the 2017 B20 Germany's Responsible Business Conduct & Anti-Corruption Cross-Thematic Group, which was submitted to the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel at the 2017 B20 Summit on May 3, 2017 in Berlin, Germany.
One was Fair Player Club, the only South Korean project of the 2nd round of Siemens Integrity Initiative, supported by the World Bank and Siemens AG, which UN Global Compact Network Korea and GCEF jointly has implemented from 2015 to 2018.
The other was an incentivising policy for private sector's anti-corruption efforts by providing a mandatory ethics training to construction companies as well as lifting penalty measure in exchange of the training, by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT) of the South Korean government. She is one of trainers of Korean Specialty Contractors Association that MOLIT appointed.
