Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of Global
Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF), has been appointed as a member of the
Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Authority’s Development Advisory Committee
(2-year term with 1-time reappointment possibility).
Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Authority held an advisory meeting
of the IFEZ Development Advisory Committee at the Arirang Hall, Gyeongwonru, of
the Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon in Songdo International City on Wednesday,
December 18, 2024, to appoint 55 members of the 4th Development Advisory
Committee and discuss implementation strategies for the IFEZ’s leap forward as
a global city. The IFEZ Development Advisory Committee is the advisory group that
seeks to improve the competitiveness and future development of the IFEZ by
providing advice on the effective promotion of projects related to the IFEZ
vision and strategy, development, investment attraction, management, and
settlement environment, and English-speaking city, in accordance with the
“Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the IFEZ Development Advisory
Committee.” It plays an important role in enhancing the competitiveness of the IFEZ
and seeking development plans.
The 55 members of the 4th term, including Ms. Kang, appointed this
time, consist of domestic and international experts from various fields in four
divisions - Planning Policy, Investment Attraction, Urban Development, and Culture
and Tourism - to further strengthen the IFEZ’s global capabilities. Ms. Kang belongs
to the Planning Policy Division, based on her expertise in management and
foreign investment companies.
The 4th Development Advisory Committee is expected to play a pivotal
role in establishing the IFEZ’s implementation strategy so that the IFEZ can
establish itself as the central base of Incheon, as a global top 10 city, and
contribute to Incheon city’s enhancement of global competitiveness and
sustainable development.
