Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President, Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF) was invited as a speaker at the expert discussion for government officials working in public procurement, which was hosted by Moscow Metropolitan Governance University (MGUU) on 8th December 2016.
She was also invited as a plenary speaker at the plenary session of the International Conference on Government and Business against the Corruption in the Procurements and Trade Area, which was hosted by Government of Moscow and the World Bank Group on 9th December 2016.
The expert discussion on "Best Practices in Public Procurement ‐ Models for Development" for government officials working in public procurement was held by Moscow Metropolitan Governance University (MGUU) on 8th December 2016. Ms Angela Joo-Hyun Kang introduced about the experience of the Republic of Korea in the field of fighting corruption in public procurement including policy transparency, accessibility and efficiency of public procurement, information system in KONEPS procurement, the interaction between government, business and civil society, challenges and prospects of development of the procurement sector. The Conference was organized by the Government of Moscow in cooperation with the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia, the Federal Corporation for development of small and medium business, and the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF Russia) and the World Bank Group on 8th and 9th December 2016. The Conference was held for the purposes of the development of the dialog between the business, academic community and the Government of Moscow regarding corruption control in the area of state procurement and the increase of professional potential of state officers. Ms Angela Joo-Hyun Kang presented about "Anti-corruption in public procurement: challenges and the experience of South Korea" and shared the experiences and best practices in South Korea.
