Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum was invited as a panelist of the special session: Research Panels – Evidence of effectiveness, results and advocacy: selected research of the 2016 Collective Action Conference to present a case study of South Korea for collective action promoting anti-corruption on Oct. 20 in Basel, Switzerland.
She presented her paper, "From Minority to Majority: Collective Action Strategies Promoting a Fair Business Environment in South Korea" accepted by International Centre for Collective Action of Basel Institute on Governance in the session, prepared for sharing case studies specific to national contexts in Asia and opportunities for lessons learned.
The conference introduced the latest trends in research and practice on anti-corruption Collective Action through high-level panel discussions, workshops and key note speakers with distinguished experts and practitioners, including Professor Mark Pieth, Chairman of the Board, Basel Institute on Governance; David Green, Director, Serious Fraud Office, UK Government; Nicola Bonucci, Director for Legal Affairs, OECD; and Andreas Hoffmann, General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance of Siemens AG, among others.
