- “New Strategy for CSR - Corporate Community Involvement’”

B2C, B2B and B2G corporations such as NOKIA, Telefonica, Ericsson, IBM and Anglo American, etc. have been implementing Corporate Community Involvement strategy partnering with governments and NGOs to tackle social and environmental problems in the communities and countries where they operate. Corporate Community Involvement is the key for success in CSR.

A co-translator of “Corporate Community Involvement” Korean version, Sue Jung-Soo KIM, JoongAng Daily Public Interest Section Editor, was invited as a speaker or the 6th GCEF dialogue. She talked about win-win ways between corporations and surrounding stakeholders and explained Corporate Community Involvement including her views of strategic CSR communication. During the second half of the forum, there were introductory sessions about UN Global Compact Awards and Asian CSR Awards.

The forum participants from South Korean corporations - Asiana Airlines, Hyundai Motors, Intel Korea, KEB (Korea Exchange Bank) Foundation, L’Oreal Korea, LG Electronics, OHAUS Korea - and nonprofit professionals from Asian Foundation, KOSIF, Seoul Scholarship Foundation and UN Global Compact Network Korea shared their experiences and exchanged their views about collaboration between private and nonprofit sectors.
