Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF) played a role of strategic partner of the CSR Conference & Expo (http://csrconferencedhaka.com) whidch was held at the Golf Garden in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 21-22 November 2017, hosted by BizCare, and supported by the World CSR Day of India, Sasin Center for Sustainability Managment of Thailand, and School of Business of Independent University, Bangladesh.
CSR Conference & Expo was the first international conference in Bangladesh to discuss insights about CSR, focusing on environmental, social and economic responsibilities to support the development of Bangladesh and the world. It was an opportunity for global companies and organizations to introduce their CSR activities and programs. Panel discussions and master classes on relevant topics by international speakers with a high reputation in CSR, sustainability and international development made CSR Conference & Expo as a useful place for sharing knowledge and experiences.
From Bangladesh, Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Principal SDG Coordinator of the Prime Minister Office and Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Secretary of Power Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy, & Mineral Resources of the Bangladesh government were keynote speakers along with other private and nonprofit sector professional speakers.
From South Korea, Ms. Angela Joo-Hyun Kang, Founder and Executive President of GCEF was a session chair of the session, <Harnessing ICT for SDGs: CSR connect> on Tue. November 21, 2017 as well as a speaker of the master class, <CSR & Employee Engagement> on Wed. November 22, 2017.
